Are you asking yourself, "why did I do that to myself again?" So many women double and even triple the amount of work they do during the holidays -- so everyone can have a beautiful Christmas. But at what cost? And did they? Did you? Did your family? We wear ourselves out or experience extreme exhaustion. During the holidays I learned over the years to say "no" to a lot of things. It wasn't easy. Many people were disappointed in me. I missed out on a lot of the fun stuff (at least that was what I thought).
I realized the price was too heavy for me and my family. Life went on and people learned that I wasn't the one who said "yes" to helping, cooking, planning, organizing, and everything else. And you know what? They got along just fine without me. My best advice is to get some well deserved rest, care for yourself for the next few days and then plan something fun for you and your family. And plan on saying yes to the things you truly enjoy and no to a few things -- your family and your health will thank you for it! :).
